I love the anticipation, excitement and slight nervousness you can see on a bride’s face as she gets ready with her closest friends and family in pre-wedding photographs. My three bridesmaids and I got ready together in my parent’s home. It was relaxed and really lovely, but was a little tight as we all gathered around the bathroom mirror and got dressed in my rather small bedroom.
When I saw what The Bride Hide are doing I thought it was such a great idea and it really would have been perfect for my bridesmaids and I! It’s a beautiful, intimate venue in which you can enjoy getting ready for your wedding (or any other event!). There’s no doubt photographs would come out beautifully with its bare brick wall, rattan chairs, pampas grass, jute rugs and lots of light! It feels rustic and bohemian with a touch of glamour and sophistication.
The Bride Hide is located in my favourite area of Sheffield, Kelham Island. It’s the old industrial side of town, now full of amazing independent businesses. One of my favourites is Gaard Coffee. Their food (and coffee) is fab and they’re making tasty grazing boards to enjoy at The Bride Hide whilst you’re getting ready! *I love it when good food is involved!*
I wanted to write about this place because I just feel as though it’s perfect for people like me who appreciate interior design, who maybe aren’t staying in a hotel the night before their wedding but want somewhere beautiful and fun to get ready, and for those pre-shots to look absolutely stunning. It makes an event – whether that be a hen party, wedding or birthday – a little bit different and super exciting! Plus, who wouldn’t love to take a good insta pic surrounded by this décor!
